Creating More A More Sustainable Trade Show
International Pool Spa Patio Expo is proud to continue our Sustainability Program at the 2025 event. We recognize our trade show has an impact on the environment and we are striving to identify, understand, and address these impacts to achieve continual improvement year after year.
Guided by the Informa Markets FasterForward Program, PSP Expo 2025 will strive to improve the sustainability of the pool, spa, patio, decking, and outdoor living Industry and our events.
Our Three Pledges
How Did We Do At PSP Expo 2024?
Last year, we challenged our attendees, exhibitors, partners, and vendors to be the most sustainable! Here are some initiatives we implemented in 2023!
What We Did:
- Donated $25,000 to Step Into Swim, PHTA's initiative to promote water safety
- Used recycled printed signage. As an annual event, we developed printed materials that can be reused or recycled.
- Reduced printed materials and implemented digital wayfinding. We heavily reduced printed materials and event guides in favor of using the PSP Expo mobile app. We also made the expo hall floor plan and agenda available via digital kiosks.
- Expanded women's leadership education programs, addressing a critical gap and empowering underrepresented talent in our market
- Donated trees to Dallas, the 2024 host city.
- Donated leftover catered food and meals to local non-profits in Dallas, the 2024 host city
- Launched a live language translation service for education sessions on the Show Floor.
What We Can Do Together
- Bring a reusable water bottle, coffee cup and a reusable straw to PSP Expo to help reduce single-use products.
- Consider walking or biking whenever possible or use public transportation for longer distances. If you do use a shared ride service such as Uber, Lyft, or a taxi. The company that carpools together, stays together!
- During your hotel stay, take advantage of the linen/towel reuse programs and turn off lights and televisions when not in the room.
- Responsibly dispose of waste materials by recycling at the convention center, at your hotel and wherever recycling bins are found throughout the city.
- Opt to use the PSP Expo mobile app onsite instead of the printed show guide to help reduce paper consumption.
